Rumors have been circulating that Source Management
singer Hajjara Namukwaya alias Spice Diana has abandoned the Eddy Kenzo-led
Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), which holds its meetings at the
Serene Suits Allure Hotel in Mutudwe.
The rumors originated as a result of Spice Diana's
protracted absence from the Federation without providing clear reasons for her
absence.
This piqued the interest of music critics, who speculated
that there may be something dodgy going on at the federation that the public is
not aware of.
Spice Diana responded to the reports by emphasizing that
her absence from the federation meetings was due to a busy schedule and being
overbooked during the time she was absent.
"I'm very busy with my work, I'm booked for the
entire month, and I no longer have time for Eddy Kenzo's federation,"
Spice Diana is reported as saying.
The "Bilungo" singer went on to say that her
absence from the federation will not impede the organization's ability to carry
out its missions.
She explained that at the federation, there are many
leaders who can manage difficulties that may have arisen at any given time.
The suspicions surfaced when a couple of performers left
the federation citing that their plans and goals are not clear and lacked a
proper sense of direction to develop and improve on the artists’ works.
