After hearing rumors for days
that the couple was finally engaged, Pastor Jengo, the late Pastor Augustine
Yiga's son, revealed his fiancée.
As he brought his girlfriend,
Fifi, up to the pulpit during the service, Jengo announced to his followers
that he was finally ready to settle down to the loud cheers of the Christians.
I've been connected to a lot
of people in the past, but I always refute the rumors that have been
circulating. However, it was impossible to dispute the information that was
revealed this week, he said.
"I believe I am sick of
being a Semyekozo," he added, amid raucous applause from the congregation.
"There comes a time in life when one has to grow up."
We've been dating for five
years, Jengo disclosed, and he didn't want to wait around any longer in case Fifi
was wooed by someone else.
In addition, the pastor talked
about his worries that the Church will be taken over along with his TV station
due to its massive debts.
It was reported last week that
a number of Christians were disappointed with their pastor because he was
taking time away from the church's current problems to perform marriage
weddings.
Nevertheless, pastor Jengo
stressed to the Christians the value of marriage.
Some individuals have
expressed concern that our church is supporting Revival High School, the TV,
and that we are drowning in debt, but I can assure you that troubles are common
to everyone who is alive. Is it appropriate for us to marry those issues when
the time comes? I need some folks to give me a break," he remarked.
In the meantime, Pastor Jengo
formally declared that November 23, 2024, will be the date of his introduction
ceremony, which is scheduled for about a year from now.
It will take place in the
Luwero District at Fifi's house in Mbirizi.
