Legendary Ugandan performer
Jose Chameleone claims that most Nigerian musicians ask that he not be included
on the list of performers when they do headline shows in Uganda because they
fear him.
Jose Chameleone utilized his
Wednesday night performance at the Comedy Club night at Lazio Bar and
Restaurant to explain why he rarely headlines concerts with other Nigerian
artists.
The musician from Leone Island
Music Empire claimed onstage that his Nigerian colleagues fear him and
frequently request that he not perform at their concerts.
According to quotes,
Chameleone stated, "Because of my size, organizers are advised not to
include me in lineups when Nigerian musicians visit. They fear me."
This is happening just a few
days after Nigerian musician BNXN (Buju) revealed that he will be singing in
Uganda on December 2nd at the Afro Amapiano concert.
In the past, Chameleone has
collaborated with a few Nigerian musicians, but only a small number of those songs
have become hits. He attributes this to the West African performers' lack of
promotion.
