Bebe Cool defended his son Alpha Thierry Ssali amid nasty
social media remarks regarding his prospective football future.
The singer was forced to respond to a commentator who
mentioned other young Ugandan players "who are more talented" than
Alpha but are deprived of opportunities due to the ruling NRM administration,
which Bebe Cool supports.
“There's so many talented young boys even better than
your son but because of our poor government it's only parents like you who are
close to the government that have that chance of making their dreams and
lifting their talents,” ranted Twitter user “Captain Frank. Frank was replying
to a video that the musician shared of him and his son hitting the gym as part
of the latter’s football training. “These young guys just need support from
parents, surely only that it's important they too value the support,” the
musician captioned the video.

Hitting back at Frank, Bebe Cool, real names Moses Ssali
pointed out that his drive to support his son’s career had nothing to do with
the ruling Government or his support of it. The Gagamel Entertainment boss
wondered whether it was the government that gave him his children in the first
place.
“It’s Such Cheap
Thinking That Will Always Keep You In Poverty Coz You About To Tell Me That
It’s Also Government Who Told Me To Get Married, have kids and be responsible
enough to support their talents as a parent,” he posted. Bebe Cool has in the
past revealed how he intends to do whatever it takes to have his son play football
at the highest level.

The singer had hired a yet-to-be identified foreign
private trainer to help elevate his son to a whole new level as he hopes to
realize his dreams of playing professionally. The pair has been on a European
tour and recently posted pictures at Arsenal's Emirates stadium and PSG's Parch
des Princes in France.
