Etania Mutoni, a
socialite and media figure, described Ugandan musicians as being
"dumb" in response to rapper Gravity Omutujju beating a DJ with a
microphone.
On social media
yesterday, a video of enraged Gravity Omutujju punching a DJ at one of his gigs
in Jinja caused a stir.
Gravity chose the
idea of assaulting a DJ over the event's subpar acoustics. A number of people,
including the self-described "life of the party" Etania, have harshly
chastised the rapper for his violent response to the Dj.
Etania voiced her
displeasure with the rapper during her radio appearance at NRG radio, claiming
that his approach was inappropriate and rude to the DJ.
Etania made it clear
that the DJ is merely there to play the musicians' songs and that the sound
engineer, not the DJ, is in charge of regulating the sound quality.
She continued by
complaining about the foolish Ugandan muciains before saying she wouldn't play
Gravity's music again if he had hit her.
