Here is a picture of Bobi Wine and his wife, Barbie Kyagulanyi.
At his beautiful family home in Magere, Kyadondo, in Wakiso District. Bobi Wine says his life was impacted by 𝗘𝗰𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝟭𝟭:𝟵 which reads, “𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵. 𝗕𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴. 𝗗𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁'𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼.”
He spoke about his music career, the Firebase Army, and how he embraced his portrayal as the “Ghetto President”. Bobi Wine initially thought he could influence events through his music but slowly came to the conclusion he had to become directly involved in politics to represent the interests of the ghetto. “If parliament cannot come to the ghetto, the ghetto will come to parliament.” He also spoke about how he rose from the Ghetto to Parliament; “nga atandika okulengera mu ssowaani z’abakulu”. This was a major turning point in his life and the price for making this life-changing decision [stepping into the political arena] was/is very high.
