Champion Gudo has had a school bursary at Kampala Parents School for almost a month now.
Gudo's godfather, Alien Skin, expressed displeasure with Gudo taking the scholarship and made stipulations in addition to the award itself.
Alien Skin insisted on getting paid in exchange for allowing Champion Gudo to accept the scholarship, according to MC Kats, who spoke with the musician behind the popular song "Sitya Danger."
A confrontational exchange between Alien Skin and MC Kats resulted from Alien Skin's apparent reluctance to relinquish custody of the child.
"I was given the assignment to speak with Alien Skin about the scholarship for Champion Gudo. He asked whether there would be any monetary recompense when I got in touch with him. In order to resolve financial issues, he also asked to meet with the Kampala Parents management. This request caught me off guard and led to a confrontation," MC Kats admitted in an interview with a nearby television station.
Champion Gudo may be ready to take the school scholarship now that he is back in his biological father's custody.
