Uganda's Lugogo Cricket Oval
saw a performance by the renowned English reggae band UB40 in 2008. Attracting
around 30,000 ardent music enthusiasts, the event was a resounding success.
It is now UB40's triumphant
return to Uganda following a 15-year absence. On December 21, they have a
performance set at Kampala's Kololo Independence Grounds.
Fans throughout Uganda are
ecstatic about UB40's announcement of their comeback. A huge event on the
social calendar is sure to occur upon the band's return, as they are among the
most well-liked foreign artists to have performed in the nation.
The performance is being
organized by Talent Africa, whose CEO, Aly Alibhai, announced that tickets will
go on sale on October 25. Anticipating a rapid sell-out, he encouraged
attendees to purchase their tickets in advance.
It will undoubtedly be a
memorable evening when UB40 returns to Uganda. Both their legendary reggae hits
and their exuberant live performances have made the band well-known. Expect to
hear songs like "Red Red Wine," "Falling in Love with You,"
and "Kingston Town" being sung by fans.
You won't want to miss this
show if you enjoy UB40 or reggae music in general. A fantastic night of music
and entertainment is in store.
