Willy Mukabya is a Legendary Ugandan 'Kadongo Kamu' Singer who
began his career as a Musician in 1987 with hit songs; Abantu balamu bayina
fitina, Kayanda, Akagali kange, Omwenzi omusiru, Ekijanjalo kifa nfumba,
Abagisu nembalu, and many others.
Mukabya, popularly known as Musanyusa (happiness),
mainly sings about the social and cultural issues and every song of his is a
story.
Mukabya started his singing career in the 1980s when he
founded his own group called Talanta African Singers which is still going
strong.
He became a household name in the late 1980s when he
released Kayanda 1 & 2 about a houseboy (Kayanda) who elopes with his
boss’s wife.
His other great albums include Teri mulimu mubi which
advises job seekers not to discriminate against jobs, Wasi- Wasi, which warns
taxi drivers to be careful while transporting passengers, Mukulike Olutalo,
which is a tribute to the 1986 NRM liberation war.
He has a total of eight albums including Akaggaali, a
six-track audio tape, and his first video Ekibuga Ndombolo
