Nabawanuka Harriet, also known as Vanessa Harriet, is a well-known
Ugandan artist. Nabawanuka was introduced to her stage name, Vanessa Harriet
and the audience when she was nine years old while singing in a church choir.
She was born in Mubende in 1991 to Namwanje Hadijah and Twahiirwa Kamadi.
Nabawanuka Harriet attended Kirumbi Primary School for her elementary
education, Busuubizi Secondary School for her o'level and St. Mugga Secondary
School for her A-level education, and ultimately Busuubizi Primary Teacher's
College, where she received her teaching degree.
