Slash The Edge  (original name Julius Ssemakula) is a Ugandan Songwriter/Artist who is based in Doha, Qatar. Slash is a multi-talented musician, singing all genres (AfroBeat, Dancehall, Afro Fusion, etc) apart from Mainstream Hip-hop.

As a Songwriter, he composes all the songs he releases. He writes the music through his umbrella organization called "Slash Beat Killer".

Slash is also the Founder and CEO of the entertainment label YFR Ent. (Young, Famous, Rich) where he supports upcoming talent as well as provide support to established crew members.

Slash has composed lots of music and currently has released five songs to the public. These include Shy Gal, Ndi Musama Sekweeka (a collaboration with Shamy K), Lwaki Otukooya, Mama Africa and the latest being Emikolo Gituwuuba.

Slash The Edge appreciates the importance of hard work and perseverance in producing quality music that touches hearts.

Slash's music is influenced by the charisma carried in the songs of African legend Lucky Dube. His love for music is attributed to his childhood where he grew up in a community full of musicians. He grew up with household artists like Radio, Mary Batta, among others.

Slash has been nominated for several musical awards such as Youth Achievers Awards

(Winner "Best Artist in the Diaspora"), Famous Teens Awards (winner "Best Inspirational Song"

and Best Artist in Diaspora).

Slash has performed at various events in Qatar such as the AfroFest celebrations, the Ugandan Independence Celebrations, etc. He has performed at shows of various musicians who perform in Qatar such as Otile Brown from Kenya,

Diamond Platinumz from Tanzania, plus Ugandan stars Jose Chameleone, Spice Diana,Geosteady, King Saha, Fik Fameica.
