At the age of 15, Ekky moved to London and in 2009 she graduated from the prestigious Aberystwyth University with an LLB law degree. Ekky returned to Kampala to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a musician. She recorded and released her debut album "The African Love Story" which she released in 2013. Some of her influences include Black coffee, India arie, Amy winehouse, Frank sinatra, Brenda fassie and Miriam makeba.
