Musolo David (born May 5th, 1993) is a Ugandan Award winning
recording and performing artist, poet, composer who is widely known by his
professional artist name Buka Chimey. His music discipline is a fusion of
different genres. He is also the founder of the first Hip Hop Band in Uganda
called Bantu Clan, which is on a quest to unify cultures, celebrate life &
express consciousness through touching emotions
“Brothers Alliance Navigating towards Unity” BANTU CLAN is
at once reminiscent of soothing – groovy conscious Hip Hop, while
simultaneously harkening to a heartfelt, down- home charm. The blend of
traditional indigenous sounds, western sounds to marry the cultures, authentic
rap, melodies and hook-laden, conscious and vibrant lyrics.
Working with Majors and stakeholders in the music industry
including Kaz Kasozi, Timothy S Kizito, Santuri Deejay’s, Saint Evo, Mukalazi
David, Jude Mugerwa, and also a beneficiary of Nigerian Superstar Musician Mr.
Eazi’s ongoing initiative emPawa Africa has continued to shape his musical
carrier across boarders.
Also working with the best Band members including Ernest Otim the
groove King(Bassist),Sam Mukuki (Solo Guitar), Sula Jemba Fola (Percussionist)
Emong Emma (Drums) and Jowie on the Keys has also seen him deliver energetic
and unforgettable performances.
Buka Chimey is currently gunning a lot of media attention from his
music and latest release entitled Beer After Beer also working with Bantu
Productions an Audio/Visual Production House Both in Uganda and USA.
