Since their recognition as the first ever professional DJ duo to be nominated in a prestigious award, DJ Roja and DJ Slick Stuart have been nominated for two consecutive Prestigious HiPipo Music Awards season and the emerged winners of the Best DJ award at #HMA2017.
Real names Kitaka Rogers, popularly known as DJ Roja (7star DJ). An engineer by profession with an ordinary diploma in mechanical engineering, majoring in refrigeration and air conditioning. DJ Roja started his entertainment profession from a local pub in his home area of Kitintale, a Kampala Suburb. He attained some good deejaying start-up skills over the years that motivated him to move on.
Dj Roja continued to gain more experience as an Urban/Club dj by playing in various spots such as Blu Haze, Steak out, (to mention but a few) and later joined Club Rouge as the resident DJ. Dj Roja has been active in the music industry of Uganda and he has shared stage with popular Ugandan Artists such as JOSE CHAMELEONE, BOBI WINE, PETER MILES, KEKO, MUN G, BEBE COOL, list goes on! His recognition as one of the country’s top Deejays has seen him grace same international stages with the likes of WAYNE WONDER, DEMARCO, KONSHENS, ALAINE, ELEPHANT MAN, WYRE, NAMELESS, REDSAN, MADTAXX, Davido, Busy Signal, Kiduum, etc.
