Musicians in Uganda are at odds over the government's UGX 13 billion investment plan, and the conflict is becoming worse.
The Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) was given the cash, yet there is still disagreement over how to divide them.
Recently, the Savings and Credit Cooperative Organisation (SACCO) of the Federation revealed a list of artists who had received their shares, according to UNMF President Eddy Kenzo.
Recipients of note include Ziza Bafana and Nina Roz, who have both been outspoken opponents of Kenzo's leadership over the music industry.
"All these got their money and signed," said Kenzo in a TV interview. I have proof. I'm sure those who haven't shown up will, but for now, they haven't gotten their money.
